Infosys Public Services is seeking a Principal Consultant- Corticon Business Rules Administrator to join our team.

Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):
The Corticon Business Rules Administrator is responsible for managing, optimizing, and maintaining the organization’s Corticon business rules engine to ensure accurate, efficient, and scalable rules execution across critical applications. This role oversees the full lifecycle of business rules—from requirements analysis and rule modeling to testing, deployment, and ongoing support—while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and compliance standards. The administrator collaborates closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to translate policy and operational needs into robust rulesets, troubleshoot rule-related issues, and implement governance processes that promote consistency and quality. Additional responsibilities include monitoring rule performance, maintaining version control, coordinating releases, and supporting continuous improvement of rules-driven automation within complex, multi-tier systems.

Required years of experience, training, technical skills, and other requirements for job performance:
Experience:

  • 11 years overall experience in enterprise application environments, including 3+ years hands-on with Progress Corticon (Studio/Server) for rule modeling, testing, deployment, and governance.
  • 2–4 years working in rules-driven government programs (e.g., Medicaid eligibility, public benefits, or similarly regulated domains) translating policy into executable rules.
  • 2–3 years in release management and configuration/version control for rulesets across multiple environments (DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD).
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with business analysts, policy SMEs, and Java/API teams on change intake, backlog grooming, and production support.
  • Prior work in Maintenance & Operations (M&O) and incident management with SLAs, including triage of rule defects and performance issues.

Training:
  • Formal training in business rules management systems (BRMS)—preferably Corticon courses covering Studio, Server, Vocabulary/Object Models, and Ruleflows.
  • Training or documented experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC), change management, and DevOps practices.

Technical Skills (Required):
  • Corticon Studio & Server: rule vocabulary design, rule sheets, ruleflows, testers, decision services packaging and deployment.
  • Data & Integration: Ability to read data models and map rules to data; familiarity with DB2 (queries, validation), and consumption/exposure of rules via REST/SOAP services.
  • Application Ecosystem: Collaboration with Java application teams for integration, contract testing, and performance tuning of rules services.

Educational Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.

The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.

The estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:
In CA/ WA/NY/CO/MD/IL/MN/NJ/VT/MA: $114,000 to $167,000
In Washington, DC: $106,000 to $147,500

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.
• Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role now or in the future.
