Senior Consultant - Manufacturing - Infosys Consulting
Infosys Consulting, the management and technology consulting unit of Infosys Ltd, is seeking motivated Manufacturing Industry Consultants. Management Consultants seeking long-term growth and career-enhancing opportunities will find both as part of our team of front-runners in Manufacturing Industry consulting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Manufacturing sector with a strong understanding of one or more of the following industries: Automotive, Aerospace, Defense and Industrial Products. Successful candidates will understand manufacturing, distribution and supply chain for discrete and continuous manufacturing processes, including enabling technologies.
About the Role
The Senior Consultant role within the Manufacturing consulting practice of Infosys focuses on partnering with business and technology stakeholders of our clients to help craft and execute their strategy. Consultants provide support to Principal Consultants and Infosys teams in different stages of projects including Strategy, Business Case definition, Requirements, Business Process Design/Re-engineering and Business Architecture, that enables our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Lead engagements at Manufacturing clients to address the pressing issues faced in the industry related to updating and transforming manufacturing facilities with new technologies to increase throughput, improve quality, lower cost of operations and increase sustainability. This includes areas such as customer experience, R&D, end-to-end supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, sales, HR, finance and their enabling technologies.
- Build client relationships specific to the engagement
- Provide leadership and mentor junior consultants in the engagement team
- Collaborate with other streams including technology delivery streams across Infosys to deliver a compelling value proposition to the client
- Publish thought leadership and insights on manufacturing industry trends and related challenges and opportunities, including the impact of and opportunities from AI in Manufacturing
- Support business development activities, assist in presales and sales process.
- Develop market relevant points of view to generate and sustain presence in the marketplace
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years of management consulting experience at a top-tier consulting firm
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Manufacturing Sector companies as a direct employee or consultant.
- Knowledgeable in key areas of manufacturing operations, including discrete and continuous manufacturing for make-to-stock, make-to-order and engineer-to-order manufacturing models. Knowledgeable in manufacturing processes, technologies, quality, supply chain, distribution and sales.
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing industry trends such as Industry 4.0, digitization, AI / ML, Cloud, etc.
- Experience as a Business Analyst on large transformation programs
- Experience in process improvement in business operations – has assisted in analysis of current state, root cause analysis, developing insights, identifying solutions, and designing future states
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation
- Proven ability to lead projects, build strong and effective business relationships
- Ability to facilitate discussions, analyze and de-construct problems, develop structured solutions and categorize challenges in the project environment
- Highly motivated with strong analytical acumen and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel extensively

Preferred Qualifications - MBA or equivalent advanced degree
- 3-5 years of experience working directly for a manufacturing company or with a professional services firm, servicing manufacturing clients.
- Experience as a business analyst will be desirable
- Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines and challenging constraints
- Experience in executing programs using Agile methodologies
- Lean / six sigma Certification
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary
The Total compensation ( Base+Bonus) for this role is between $130,000 to $177,000.
