Role Overview

The Embedded Software Product Owner is responsible for technical leadership, roadmap definition, prioritization, quality governance, and lifecycle management of embedded software products and platforms. The role drives functional and non-functional software requirements, ensure alignment with business and product strategies, and ensure software quality throughout the product lifecycle. Should shape software platform strategies and contribute to the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and govern the embedded software product roadmap, aligning with business and product objectives.
• Prioritize software features, technical enablers, and quality improvements across releases.
• Define and manage functional and non-functional requirements including performance, safety, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Lead software variants planning, release governance, and lifecycle management activities.
• Drive technical decision and software platform development.
• Lead adoption of modern software architectures, service-oriented solutions, cloud connectivity, AI-enabled functions, and digital services.
• Support Over-the-Air (OTA) software update strategies and continuous deployment capabilities.
• Collaborate with system architects, software development teams, verification teams, and product stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery.
• Establish software quality targets, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications.

• 12+ years of experience in Embedded Software Development, Product Ownership, Software Architecture, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong understanding of embedded software development lifecycle, release management, software quality, and system integration.
• Experience with AUTOSAR, Adaptive AUTOSAR, Linux/QNX platforms, OTA, CI/CD, Functional Safety, and Cybersecurity.
