As a Solution Architect focused on Infrastructure Data Center Transformation Solutions / Presales, the role owns the creation of strong, differentiated and commercially viable infrastructure solutions across data center modernization, private and hybrid cloud, virtualization, HPC, CaaS, Infra for AI, AI POD and AI Factory-led transformation. The role plays the technical architect and integrated solution owner across pursuits, translating Infosys capabilities into client-ready solution constructs and vendor/client price book patterns while bringing together Data center, Network, Cyber, Cloud and MS threads into one coherent end-to-end proposal. The role is expected to combine deep technical architecture skills with strong techno-commercial judgment, partner ecosystem understanding, solution pricing awareness, and AI-led differentiation to shape winning solutions in compliance with Infosys guidelines, policies and norms.
Additional Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in Infrastructure Data Center Transformation, Solution Architecture and Presales, with expertise across Data Center, Private and Hybrid Cloud, Network, Cyber, Managed Services, ITSM, automation and AI-enabled infrastructure solutions. The role must have at least one primary and one secondary area of specialization, with the ability to design integrated, multi-tower solutions and translate technical solution components into vendor and client pricing constructs, bill of materials, assumptions, commercials and price book patterns.
Areas of Responsibility
Performs the analysis of services, products and technologies under guidance to provide input on the service offering and input on suitable customers for pursuits.Evangelizes Infosys Tech Brand in specific areas (e.g., anchoring Tech Day, white papers, speaking in forums, etc.); Builds artifacts in new areas of competency to build collateral and Go-To-Market solutions.Identifies opportunities in accounts or new technology areas and provides necessary credentials to support the Client Services team in prospecting.Leads infrastructure transformation proposals as the solution architect and integrated solution owner; writes strong, differentiated solution responses, owns the solution storyline, validates solution fitment, and brings together Data center, Network, Cyber, Cloud and MS workstreams into a single coherent pursuit. Provides domain technical consultation to Pre-Sales, participates in proposal discussions, client workshops and solution reviews, architects and validates complex technical solutions, performs estimations and price book mapping, and brings alliance offerings, Infosys IP and AI-led differentiators into the solution.Interacts with vendors and alliances to understand complementary offerings, products, IP, reference architectures, sizing models and commercial constructs. Translates Infosys solution requirements into vendor bill of material and pricing patterns, and converts vendor constructs back into client-facing solution and price book structures with clear assumptions, dependencies and value differentiation.Provides technical and techno-commercial inputs for contracting and deal negotiations, including solution assumptions, dependencies, exclusions, SLAs, service outcomes, transition approach, tooling, AI automation commitments, partner dependencies and pricing guardrails in consulting and managed services contractual documents.Organizes, documents, and reviews work items' scope from a technical viewpoint and approach to ensure completeness and consistency in scoping of the project.Reviews and validates estimates for consulting projects and guides estimation for complex projects IN ORDER TO ensure correct sizing of the work.Provides and reviews inputs on various competencies important for forming teams for projects to address resource competency requirements for the project.Provides consulting inputs/insight into the complexity of architectural requirements; Reviews work breakdown structure & resources/task/activity planning, sets milestones and deliverables to ensure correctness and optimal scheduling of the project.Reviews and validates the target metrics of a project from a technology perspective like tools usage, reusable frameworks, and feasibility to assist in achieving the quality target.Reviews, identifies, and prioritizes technical risks to develop a risk mitigation plan.Participates in project plan reviews and provides inputs to ensure accuracy of the plan.Participates in customer discussions in various stages of the consulting engagement to understand the problems faced by the customer and articulates the same to the internal stakeholders; Defines and documents the problem and gets customer agreement. Brings in best practices in the industry to in identifying and defining the problem.Ensures and reviews that the business/technical requirements are understood and translated to system requirements (product requirements) consistent with frameworks/standards to meet requirements definition for products and large projects.- Diagnostic Discovery/As-Is Assessment
Participates in or Conducts workshops to understand the As-Is process/system study and identify high-level process/system changes to arrive at proposed requirements, process maps, fit-gap analysis, and requirements/assessment documents that are agreeable to the customer. - Solution Evaluation and Recommendation
Provides inputs to the customer solution roadmap as the SME in the domain with possible solution alternatives that factor in gap realization, impact on related functional/technical areas, feasibility, and efficiency to assist in arriving at the final solution definition.- Strategy & Road Map Definition
Performs As-Is analysis and provides To-Be recommendations, evaluates product technology solutions, and provides solutions to specialized problems to provide inputs on the technical and domain road map.Acts as the technical architect for pursuits and transformation engagements; creates, consults and reviews architecture decisions across compute, storage, network, cyber, cloud, managed services, virtualization, HPC, CaaS and AI infrastructure domains. Produces solution blueprints, reference architectures and migration patterns that embed AI-led operations, automation, observability, resiliency and FinOps/commercial optimization.- Design and Product/Solution Development
Evaluates and reviews design frameworks, methodologies and solution building blocks, and owns the integrated solution design across towers. Ensures functional and non-functional alignment, commercial feasibility, technology fitment, partner alignment, AI-enabled automation opportunities and clear mapping of Infosys solution components to client-consumable value propositions and pricing structures.Conducts NFR (non-functional requirement) compliance verifications; validates NFR compliance; ensures alignment with overall architecture view; creates/develops reference codes. Provides consultation to TLs (Team Leads) on complex coding and technical/product issues to ensure effective solution development.Provides consultation to TLs on test strategy and solutions, develops test strategy for complex testing requirements, and sets complex multi-vendor, multi-platform testing environments to achieve effective validation.Validates/reviews large/complex deployment solutions & frameworks and creates the blueprint for large deployment solutions IN ORDER TO meet technical challenges in deployment.Evangelizes the usage of reusable frameworks and artifacts, creates knowledge/certification artifacts and evaluation criteria, and guides or provides technical training in relevant technology areas to develop talent in technology/domain.- Post Implementation Support
Resolves critical issues coming at live sites; identifies and fixes critical architectural/framework issues related to the product to meet SLA (Service Level Agreement) requirements during warranty.Creates knowledge/certification artifacts and evaluation criteria, mentors in building new areas of competency, guides or provides technical training in relevant technology areas, assists in employees' career planning, and conducts technical interviews to develop talent in technology/domain.Understands infrastructure transformation pricing models, vendor commercials, license/subscription constructs, consumption patterns, unit pricing, managed services cost drivers and price book structures. Supports solution-level revenue, margin and profitability analysis, validates commercial assumptions, and ensures technical choices are aligned with deal economics and client value outcomes.Leads technical and techno-commercial discussions with customer SMEs, enterprise architects, infrastructure leaders and procurement stakeholders. Articulates Infosys technical differentiation, AI-led transformation value, solution trade-offs, pricing rationale and delivery confidence in a way that supports pursuit progression and client decision-making.Assists in the creation of solutions and other IP artifacts, evangelizes the Infosys Tech Brand in specific areas (e.g., anchoring Tech Day, white papers, speaking in forums) to strengthen competency/expertise in technology/domain.). Broad-based knowledge of infrastructure platforms, partner products, reference architectures and commercial models across data center transformation, private/hybrid cloud, network, cyber, managed services and AI-enabled infrastructure domains.- Ability to define complex, AI-enabled infrastructure architectures and anchor solution reviews across data center, cloud, network, cyber and managed services towers.
- Strong appreciation of consulting, presales, solutioning and pricing frameworks, including assumptions, dependency mapping, effort models, vendor bill of material and client price book alignment.
- Strong customer, vendor, alliance and internal stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead pursuits and integrate inputs from Data center, Network, Cyber, Cloud and MS teams.
- Ability to leverage domain knowledge and AI-first solution thinking to solve business and IT problems from a technology, operating model and commercial perspective, while switching context across multiple infrastructure services.
- Contribute to thought leadership participate in calls relationship with analysts in her/his focus areas
- Identify and create printable artifacts guides and author papers
- Help seniors in appraisals of juniors and career aspiration program and maintaining of technical discussions with customer technology experts to provide technical differentiation.
Must-Have Skills / Key Competencies- Pre-Sales & Solution Leadership: Proven expertise in pre-sales, infrastructure transformation architecture, and leading large-scale deals within the Data Center Transformation domain, including end-to-end solution design spanning DC network, security, and platform services.
- Cross-Industry Transformation Experience: Extensive experience in delivering data center infrastructure transformation and consulting across multiple industry verticals, enabling well-rounded, cross-domain solutioning.
- Enterprise & Cross-Domain Architecture: Strong enterprise architecture capabilities with a deep understanding of multi-technology integration across infrastructure layers, ensuring cohesive and future-ready solutions.
- Techno-Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to balance technical excellence with commercial viability, shaping competitive and value-driven data center transformation solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Transformation Consulting: Strong consulting mindset with proven ability to engage client stakeholders and internal teams, ensuring seamless integration during transformation and consolidation programs.
- Communication & Expectation Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on stakeholder alignment, transparency, and effective expectation management throughout the transformation lifecycle.
- Partner solution: Leverage partnerships with HPE, Dell, Equinix and other DC providers, Hitachi, Veeam, Commvault, NVIDIA and relevant cloud, virtualization, AI infrastructure and cyber ecosystem partners to bring best-in-class solutions. The role must be able to map partner technologies into Infosys-led AI-enabled propositions, including optimized hardware, GPU and accelerated compute, hybrid cloud options, AI-ready storage, data protection, resiliency, automation and managed services constructs.
