Role Description: The Onsite Program Manager will act as the primary customer-facing leader responsible for driving Quality Engineering and Testing delivery across a large transformation engagement. The role will provide strategic leadership, governance, stakeholder management, financial oversight, risk management, and execution assurance while aligning testing outcomes with business, technology, and regulatory objectives.

Salary: AUD 235,889– 250,588 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:
Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for testing services across assigned portfolios.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with divisional CIOs, Tribe Leads, Delivery Leads, Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and senior stakeholders.
  • Participate in executive governance forums, SteerCo meetings, and operational reviews.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and manage stakeholder expectations.

Program Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end QE and Testing delivery across multiple programs and releases.
  • Ensure alignment with Agile and SAFe delivery frameworks.
  • Drive quality strategy, release readiness, and production stability.
  • Provide oversight for functional, integration, system, UAT, and non-functional testing activities.

Governance & Risk Management
  • Establish delivery governance, performance reviews, and quality controls.
  • Own RAID management and escalation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with risk management standards and regulatory obligations.
  • Support CPS 230 operational resilience and third-party risk management requirements where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with MSA and SOW terms and conditions

Delivery Assurance
  • Monitor testing progress against milestones, schedules, and quality objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, quality gates, and release criteria.
  • Proactively identify delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Drive defect prevention and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Drive Productivity improvement initiatives along with offshore program manager. Ensure alignment to committed PI as in proposal.

Financial & Commercial Management
  • Work with account leadership and manage account P&L, revenue forecasts, resource plans, and utilization targets.
  • Track project budgets, delivery costs, and productivity improvements.
  • Drive automation-led efficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.

Vendor & Partner Management
  • Coordinate across multiple development vendors and technology teams.
  • Drive collaborative delivery and issue resolution.
  • Ensure contractual obligations and service commitments are met.

Transformation & Innovation
  • Lead QE transformation initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of:
    • Test automation
    • AI-assisted testing
    • DevSecOps
    • Continuous testing
    • Quality engineering best practices
  • Identify opportunities for service expansion and continuous improvement.

Essential:
  • 20+ years in Testing/QE delivery.
  • 8+ years managing large banking transformation programs and managing the transformation at scale.
  • Experience working with Financial Services testing transformation
  • Strong understanding of Agile, SAFe, DevOps, and Quality Engineering.
  • Experience managing distributed onsite-offshore teams exceeding 500+ resources.
  • Strong CXO level stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
  • Experience in driving AI led transformation
