Role Description:
As the Data Migration Lead, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the end-to-end data migration strategy for a large-scale SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Greenfield implementation in an educational institution. You will work closely with functional and technical teams, client stakeholders, and SAP experts to ensure data integrity, compliance, and successful cutover.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
• Develop and own the data migration strategy aligned with SAP Activate methodology.
• Define migration scope, objects, timelines, and dependencies.
• Coordinate with business and IT stakeholders to gather legacy data requirements.
Execution:
• Lead ETL processes using SAP Migration Cockpit, LTMC, and other tools.
• Manage staging tables and templates for migration objects.
• Oversee data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading activities.
Team Leadership:
• Guide and mentor data migration consultants and analysts.
• Collaborate with functional leads across modules (HCM, FI, MM, SD, etc.).
Quality & Compliance:
• Ensure data quality, reconciliation, and audit readiness.
• Implement data governance and validation frameworks.
• Address data privacy and compliance requirements specific to the education sector.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Conduct workshops, status updates, and risk assessments.
• Liaise with SAP and third-party vendors as needed.
• Cutover management
• Coordination across multiple business stakeholders, third party vendors
• Cutover planning for data migration activities
Technical Expertise:
• 10+ years of SAP data migration experience, with at least 2 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud migration tools
• Familiarity with education sector data structures and compliance standards.
• Experience with SuccessFactors, Ariba, and other integrated SAP modules is a plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Additional:
• SAP certification in Data Migration or S/4HANA Cloud.
• Experience with Greenfield implementations in public sector or education.
• Knowledge of Australian data protection laws and education compliance frameworks.
