Role Description:
We are looking for a professional who is passionate about technology and problem-solving using technology whether it is a simple issue that enables a user to work faster or a solution that improves efficiency/productivity for a big team, it gives me immense satisfaction. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring technologies with a strong focus on reliability, maintainability.

  • Leading end‑to‑end delivery of technical initiatives from requirement analysis and solution design through development, testing and production rollout.

  • Owning complex technical problems and solutions, including performance tuning, integration issues.

  • Driving modernization and upgrade efforts including framework upgrades, dependency remediation, build‑tool improvements and architectural refactoring.

  • Working as SME for the ongoing Snyk remediation project, performing deep analysis of vulnerabilities, identifying fixable items, planning remediation batches and coordinating framework and library upgrades to strengthen the application’s security posture.

  • Worked as SME for App Modernisation program collaborating with offshore teams and vendors across locations.

  • Managing technical debt strategically, identifying high‑risk areas and planning remediation without disrupting delivery timelines.

  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design specs, migration plans, API contracts.

  • Driving integration efforts with internal systems and third‑party services using REST and messaging.

  • Planning and estimating complex technical work, breaking down large initiatives into manageable, testable deliverables.

  • Championing automation and CI/CD improvements to streamline builds, releases and deployments.

  • Supporting platform upgrades such as JDK migrations, OS upgrades and infrastructure modernization.

  • Ensuring application reliability and performance through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement.

  • Deploying and supporting applications in cloud environments including AWS and Azure

  • Engage with relevant Technical Architects, Technical Leads and Business Unit stakeholders to communicate/negotiate technical limitations and boundaries.   

  • Collaborating with Architects, QA and infrastructure teams to ensure solutions align with business goals, security requirements.

  • Mentoring and supporting developers through code reviews, design discussions and knowledge‑sharing sessions.

  • Establishing and maintaining coding standards, secure coding practices and clean‑code principles across the team.

  • Leading BAU Run team in incident investigations and root‑cause analysis, ensuring long‑term fixes rather than temporary workarounds.

  • Managing ServiceNow change processes including creating, documenting, and tracking changes, ensuring compliance with organisational governance standards.

  • Representing the team in CAB and TAB forums, presenting upcoming changes, assessing risk, addressing stakeholder questions and ensuring smooth approvals for test and production deployments.

  • Providing support during organisation‑level changes including major releases, infrastructure upgrades and cross‑team coordination activities.  

  • Using Jira for structured task management, sprint planning, estimation, and progress tracking, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.
