Business Analyst – Capital Markets, Infosys Consulting
The Role – What You’ll Do

You will be part of a dynamic, cross-cultural global team engaged in diverse business consulting projects within Capital Markets. As a key member of a world-class product management team, you will drive innovation and enhance user experiences in this evolving sector.

Your role will span multiple disciplines, including process consulting, experience design, business and data analysis, applied AI, technology strategy, program leadership, and change management. You will tackle complex challenges, develop creative and strategic solutions, apply cutting-edge business consulting frameworks, and leverage technical expertise to analyze data. Collaborating closely with client stakeholders, you will be instrumental in delivering measurable business outcomes and driving impactful transformation.
Responsibilities
  • Experience working in Capital markets functions and trading instruments in Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives and OTC
  • Experience of working with intermediaries and service providers- Asset Servicers, Platform providers, FinTechs and Market Infrastructure
  • Functional consulting services including Business Strategy, IT Strategy, Digital Transformation, Customer Experience, SI Consulting, Business Architecture, Business Analysis, Product Management
  • You will be intensely involved in various phase of business process consulting; problem definition to solution creation working with teams towards development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution.
  • Lead the requirement elicitation and specification phase with business stakeholders to document business or functional requirement documents / user stories and work with development and quality assurance team for successful implementation and roll out as per defined plans.
  • Conduct strategic assessments to define future state functional / technical architecture to meet strategic client objectives leveraging Design Thinking, Service Blueprinting approach.
  • Work with both the technology and business stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and implementation of requirements and help develop features and functionalities to support enabling achievement of business goals.
  • Work in an agile environment by continuously reviewing the business needs, refining priorities, outlining milestones and deliverables, and identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Facilitate decomposition sessions with the technology teams to clearly define requirements from a user perspective, inclusive of acceptance criteria breaking down large stories for the team to consume in one sprint.
  • Partner with the technology team to break down large stories based on estimation.
  • Participate in the testing /review sessions and provide support for release.
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics in a product or platform context (hands-on experience preferred but not mandatory).

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with customer centric mindset to focus on client needs.
  • 7+ years working in agile culture with 5+ years of relevant experience working in the capital markets space
  • Experience working as a Business System Analyst in any Front Office, Middle-Office or Back-office implementation.
  • Expert contributing to different phases of the Trade lifecycle and Experience working in Capital markets functions and trading instruments in Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives and OTC.
  • Experience in accounting functions, understanding of Mexican Financial products and GAAP.
  • Strong experience in writing detailed functional requirements in JIRA, creating Epic and User stories, Defining Acceptance Criteria
  • Strong Analytical and Communication skills along with Planning and Co-ordination skills
  • Should have SQL knowledge - should be able to write queries
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize the items that maximize business value while receiving requests from multiple stakeholders at the same times.
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and team members to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • In depth analytical skills with the ability to synthesize findings.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating collaborative sessions, managing customer expectations, and ensuring work is aligned with the enterprise goals and objectives.
  • Expertise with agile tools suites including Atlassian, MS Teams or similar agile management tooling.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a cross-cultural team, including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary.
  • Location – Tampa, Florida

Preferred Qualifications / Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Capital Markets and business models across North America.
  • Candidates should demonstrate expertise in Techno Functional Roles, including translating business needs into clear, actionable functional requirements, SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation across financial systems, Regulatory Reporting, with knowledge of compliance frameworks and reporting standards, Working within Agile frameworks, including sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative delivery
  • Understanding of upstream data flows and integration points relevant to Capital Markets and reporting processes, Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Jira, Confluence, and Oracle SQL are expected.
  • Familiarity with requirement gathering, project management tools, and Agile delivery practices will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Candidates should be able to ramp up quickly with minimal support, take full ownership of assigned tasks, and consistently deliver against timelines and commitments.
  • A proven track record of execution and accountability is essential.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary
  • Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration.
