In the assigned Job Role of Infrastructure Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

⦁ Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and document findings with preventive recommendations
⦁ Participate in evaluation of client IT infrastructure, prepare actionable assessment reports, and support due diligence to document infrastructure maturity and improvement opportunities
⦁ Contribute to the design of scalable, cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions, review reusable components, and develop technical documentation for deployed systems
⦁ Align release schedules and environment readiness, execute deployments as per protocols, perform post-deployment testing, and manage version control to track changes
⦁ Co-ordinate maintenance schedules, emergency fixes, and technology upgrades while ensuring uninterrupted integration into existing systems and processes
⦁ Facilitate performance data analysis across systems, coordinate insights on system behavior, and support capacity planning to optimize performance
⦁ Conduct security checks, recovery drills, and compliance audits, implement security measures, and coordinate continuity plans to maintain adherence to standards
⦁ Gather feedback to identify automation opportunities, analyze existing infrastructure processes, and propose enhancements for efficiency gains
⦁ Act as liaison with onsite, offshore, and vendor teams to document project requirements, ensuring effective collaboration
⦁ Develop a centralized repository of technical and procedural knowledge, leveraging insights from other projects to drive efficiency and retain organizational expertise

Competencias y experiencia requeridas

• Expert level of understanding and hands-on Oracle
Golden gate.
• Hands-on AWS environment / setup.
• Strong experience providing 24x7 operations and on call
support.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high availability
environment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect resolution
skills.
• Experience working within ITSM.

Oracle Database Administration (On Premises and Cloud) includes:

• Performing physical Oracle DBA activities for databases
used, supported, or maintained as part of Services,
including:
1. Oracle database builds, installations, configuration,
and decommissioning.
2. Configuring and supporting Oracle RAC environments
3. Creating and maintaining Primary and Standby
databases.
4. Performing schema changes through approved user
requests.
5. Executing Oracle database upgrades using defined
tools and procedures.

High Availability and Disaster Recovery Management includes:

• Configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting Oracle Data
Guard environments including:
1. Physical and Logical Standby configurations
2. Fast Start Failover (FSFO) setup and maintenance..
3. Observer configuration and monitoring.
4. Resolving Data Guard synchronization and failover
issues.
5. Supporting disaster recovery testing and activities.

Database Maintenance and Operations Support includes:

• Maintaining databases to meet availability, reliability,
and performance SLAs.
• Performing database health checks, defect analysis,
and resolution.
• Taking and managing logical and physical backups..
• Proactive and reactive server and database
maintenance.
• Ensuring database environments remain patched,
secure, and compliant.
• Performing routine and emergency maintenance
activities as required.

Monitoring, Automation, and Vendor Support includes:

• Developing and maintaining automation scripts and
tools using various scripting languages to improve
operational efficiency.
• Monitoring database health and responding to alerts
and incidents.
• Performing periodic analysis of ticket inflow and
identifying improvement areas.
• Creating Service Requests (SRs) and coordinating with
Oracle Support for issue resolution.
• Driving operational stability through automation and
proactive monitoring.

Administrative and Operational Support includes:

• Supporting Incident, Problem, Task, and BAU activities.
• Managing and resolving ServiceNow tickets and
queues.
• Preparing and maintaining operational documentation,
SOPs, and RCAs.
• Participating in database change reviews and impact
assessments.
• Collaborating with application, infrastructure, and
platform teams.
• Providing rotational on call support for P1 / P2
incidents.

Competencias y experiencia deseadas

• Knowledge on Cockroach DB would be plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with infrastructure, application, and vendor teams
• Supporting audits, compliance, and security initiatives.
• Actively identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Require strong troubleshooting skills, automation mindset, and the ability to independently handle incidents, service requests, and operational improvements while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Requisitos adicionales obligatorios

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.
