Infosys is seeking a Principal SAP FICO Consultant

As a Principal SAP FICO Consultant, you will be an expert contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose, and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration, and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • Atleast 11 years of Information Technology experience.

  • The location for this position is Indianapolis, IN. This position may require travel to the location.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Solution Leadership
  • Lead end‑to‑end SAP S/4HANA solution design across key manufacturing processes (Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay, Plan‑to‑Produce, Finance, Supply Chain).
  • Translate business requirements into scalable S/4HANA solutions aligned with program standards and best practices.
  • Drive fit‑gap analysis, configuration strategy, and functional architecture decisions.
  • Program Delivery
  • Support Prepare, Explore, Realize, and Deploy phases under SAP Activate methodology.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, offshore/onshore delivery, and COEs to ensure aligned and consistent delivery.
  • Provide oversight during system conversion, testing cycles (SIT, UAT), cutover, and hypercare.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the primary S/4HANA advisor to business and IT leadership.
  • Communicate effectively across multilingual teams; bridge functional discussions between US team and global stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops, solution reviews, and decision‑making forums.
  • Quality & Governance
  • Ensure adherence to design standards, data governance, integration patterns, and program controls.
  • Guide the customer through business process harmonization and transformation opportunities.
  • Support change impact assessment and enablement activities.


  • Required Skills & Experience
  • 15+ years of SAP Functional experience; strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA (1809 or higher).
  • Proven leadership in Manufacturing industry implementations or transformations.
  • Bilingual fluency (English + additional language — specify the exact requirement).
  • Strong understanding of integration points with TM, EWM, PP/DS, Ariba, BTP, and third‑party systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP Activate, process mapping, configuration, and testing cycles.
  • Experience in global template rollout, greenfield, or brownfield conversions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.


  • SAP S/4HANA Certification (Functional or Solution Architect).
  • Experience working in large global programs with onshore/offshore model.
  • Exposure to digital technologies (BTP, AI/ML use cases, automation tools).
  • Manufacturing domain knowledge: FMCG, Industrial, High‑Tech, Automotive, or similar.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
