Role Purpose:
The Sales Director is a senior sales and growth leadership role within Infosys Australia’s Public Sector business, accountable for driving revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and long-term market positioning across Australian Federal Government agencies.
The role blends complex deal leadership, executive client engagement, ecosystem orchestration (including Systems Integrators, product vendors, and Australian SMEs), and thought leadership on emerging technologies such as AI.
Location – Canberra, ACT

Key Responsibilities
• Own and grow senior executive and CXO relationships across Australian Federal Government departments and agencies.
• Navigate and influence complex stakeholder environments spanning policy, procurement, delivery, and commercial functions.
• Act as the executive face of Infosys for Federal Government clients.
• Identify, shape, and close large, complex Federal Government opportunities.
• Lead the end-to-end pursuit lifecycle including shaping, bid strategy, proposals, pricing, and negotiations.
• Own sales plans, pipeline management, and forecasting.
• Partner with solution, delivery, and global service line leaders to build differentiated offerings.
• Ensure strong governance between sales commitments and delivery execution.
• Develop co-delivery and consortium models with SIs for major Federal programs.
• Establish partnerships with global and niche product vendors.
• Collaborate with Australian SMEs, including Indigenous and sovereign capability partners, to support AIC objectives.
• Analyse emerging trends including AI, data, cyber security, automation, and digital platforms.
• Translate trends into policy-aligned, outcome-driven use cases for Federal Government.
• Act as a trusted advisor bringing forward-looking insights to clients.
• Lead pricing, commercial negotiations, and contract structures.
• Apply strong understanding of Federal Government procurement and compliance frameworks.
Skills & Experience
• Proven Federal Government sales and growth leadership experience including leading large deals and converting them (greater than 50 Mil USD).
• Experience working with large Systems Integrators.
• Strong ability to position emerging technologies and innovative solutions.
• Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Significant experience in Australian Federal Government IT services.
• Australian Citizenship required; security clearance may be required.
