Salary: AUD 150742 - 171215 Annual Gross

  1. Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Manager
  • Responsible for the realizing delivery outcomes (quality, schedule, cost, outcomes/ benefits etc) for projects/ work streams with different engagement models (managed services, co-managed and client managed) and various pricing models.
  • Responsible for customer engagement and satisfaction, NPS/CSAT.
  • Responsible for overall people engagement with direct reporting of PMs/Tech Arch/Tech Leads (offshore and onshore) and next level reporting of delivery team.
  • Owns and drives delivery and business initiatives for the account under the overall direction of the Delivery Owner.
  • Establishes and implements effective program management and delivery governance framework for successful delivery of the Project.
  • Responsible for CR negotiations for ongoing projects, SoW for new projects, setting up new delivery teams/projects.
  • Manages senior stakeholder expectations with clear and timely communication and reporting, both internally and externally (customer organization and partners, if any).
  • Ensures delivery health through periodic reviews and by extending proactive support and intervention to reporting project managers/ leads.
  • Experience of leading presales activities, responding to RFP/RFI
  • Trusted delivery partner for the customers who proactively engages with customers to enhance business value delivered through services and solutions.
  • Provides thought leadership in one or more areas across delivery, methodology, technology or business domain.
  1. Skills /Competencies:
  1. Essential:
  • 10-18 years of experience in the IT industry in delivery roles; 5+ years on experience in program or LoB management with large, geographically distributed teams (onshore and offshore).
  • Project or Program management experience across the full SDLC lifecycle involving different methodologies like agile, iterative, waterfall and hybrid.
  • Prior experience of managing delivery engagements with quality frameworks such as CMMI.
  • Must be consultative and solutions’ oriented; prior experience of structuring or defining solutions-oriented delivery engagements and troubleshooting critical delivery issues.
  • Strong commercial acumen with high proficiency in effort/ cost estimation.
  • Very strong business communication, negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • “Hands on” delivery leadership experience on complex/ high risk projects.
  • Prior experience of managing leads / PMs in a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement journeys across delivery excellence and margin improvement.

Additional Skills

  • 2+ years of strong business domain knowledge in the Telco domain (preferably OSS/BSS), with an IT consulting/ services firm.
  • PMP Certified
  • Excellent customer interfacing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-solving skills.
