Position Description:
The Engineer of HRSG P&ID will be responsible for the P&ID, System Description, and Calculation of Blowdown and Blowoff Sizing, Desuperheater, Drain Time, Start-Up/Sky Vent…etc. If required, need to join in HAZOP meeting and design of HRSG Life Monitoring and Functional Logic Diagrams. You will be part of an international team supporting a diverse array of international customers of combined cycle power plants.
In this position, you will be responsible for the HRSG AVEVA P&ID as well as its interface with other HRSG Engineering Center of Excellences (COE), and with a focus on project execution, product improvement, problem solving and product cost out.
Essential Responsibilities:
As the Engineer P&ID, you will be:
- Capable of draft P&ID and prepare Hydrostatic P&ID, Life Monitoring system.
- Capable of working across a broad spectrum of technical areas including Control valve, Attemperator, Blowdown and Blowoff, Sky/Start-up vent, Logic Diagrams.
- Capable of preparing System Description and understanding HRSG Startup and Shunt down process.
- Responsible for P&ID and other calculation of the optimum equipment by working with other HRSG engineering COEs including Performance Engineers, Piping Engineers, A&M Engineers, Auxiliary Equipment and Structural Engineers.
- Responsible for evaluating, analyzing and explaining P&ID Items while working with Proposal Engineers, Service Engineers, Sourcing, Vendors, Customers, and Project Management.
- Responsible to join in HAZOP meeting with Customer, if required.
- Responsible to join in Operator training, if required.
- Responsible for analysis and rectification of incorrectly performing equipment during and after installation.
- Capable of working with domestic and international customers and vendors.
- Responsible for the implementation of ASME and EN…ETC code requirements.
- Be responsible for feedback and improvements to the methods and equipment used.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements
- Participate actively in various activities to secure competitiveness of HRSG products
Minimum Qualifications: - BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a special combination of education and experience with demonstrated accomplishments.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a mechanical Design Engineering role of HRSG
- Able to communicate in English.
Desired Qualifications: - Experience working in a Global business environment
- Proven interface skills with customers, both internal and external
- Knowledge of related Codes, design standards/manuals and specifications for HRSG Items
- Ability to navigate effectively in a highly matrixed, horizontal environment.
- AVEVA Diagram and Engineering usage
- Ability to use Excel well and Autocad, Visio a bit.
