Infosys is seeking a Principal SAP BODS Consultant
As a Principal Consultant, you will be a key player in the consulting team and subject matter expert contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 11 years of experience with Information Technology.

- This position is based in Richardson,TX. The role may require travel to project/Client's location.
Preferred Qualifications - SAP BODS Expertise:
- Advanced experience with jobs/workflows, data flows, custom functions, scripting, CDC and real-time services.
- Strong command of Repository Manager, Management Console, and Designer tools.
- SAP & Data Platforms:
- Integration with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, IS-U, BW/BW4HANA, HANA (SQLScript, views), Datasphere/DWC.
- Working knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud data consumption pathways (preferred).
- Data Engineering:
- SQL expertise (ANSI SQL, performance tuning, indexing, partitioning).
- Experience with file-based, API, and message-based ingestion; familiarity with cloud storage (S3/ADLS) and data lakes a plus.
- Quality & Governance:
- Hands-on with data profiling, DQ rules, matching, survivorship, and metadata/lineage practices.
- Understanding of data privacy, security, and auditability controls.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, documentation, and leadership.
- Ability to operate in agile environments and manage complex multi-vendor programs.
- Certifications:
- SAP Certified Application Associate – Data Services (or equivalent BODS certification).
- SAP BW/4HANA or SAP HANA certification (advantageous).
- Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure/AWS/GCP data engineering) are a plus.
- Tools:
- SAP BODS (Designer, Management Console, Repository Manager)
- Databases: SAP HANA, Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL
- Scheduling/DevOps: Control-M/Redwood/AutoSys, Git, CI/CD pipelines
- Monitoring: Application logs, job telemetry, alerting dashboards
- Complementary: SAP BW/BW4, Datasphere/DWC, SAC, data catalog tools
- Additional Skills:
- Power BI, Fabric
- SAP HANA/Data Sphere
- Snowflake
- Project Management
- Ability to create project plans, track schedules, and manage team priorities in large-scale implementation projects.
- Leadership
- Strong leadership skills to mentor and develop team members, manage offshore teams, and guide the security function.
- Communication
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to report to stakeholders and build client relationships.
- Analytical Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify vulnerabilities, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.
The job may entail extensive travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
