Why We Collect Personal Information:

What personal information do we collect?
We only collect personal information that is directly related to one or more of the above purpose(s). Wherever possible, such information will be collected directly from the individual about whom it pertains. The amount and the type of the information collected will be limited to that which is needed to fulfil the identified purpose(s). We only collect what we need. We collect the following personal information from you such as
- Mandatory: First name, last name, city, country, state/region/province, zip/postal code, Email ID, Mobile phone (including country code), resume, skills, notice period required to serve in the current organization (in months), Past employment with Infosys Ltd (Required for Docket check Eligibility to rehire). or any of its subsidiary companies and if yes- employee number, subjected to any contractual restrictions including no-hire/competition or other obligations that could prevent you from working for Infosys Ltd. are also done. or any of its subsidiary companies (including current and prior employer restrictive covenants) how did you hear about us, other relevant training or professional qualifications or work-related skills, Application Source (tracked by system), Disability Status, open to relocation/travel, Do you require sponsorship and are you legally authorized to work in US.
- Optional data elements: Middle name, Address, web address, work phone, secondary mobile phone, percentage of travel (if you are open to travel).
- For Candidates who cleared HR interview: Availability, Financial Expectation pertaining to other financial benefits provided like pension plans.
We strongly encourage you not to provide us with information beyond that which is necessary or requested.
We may also collect personal information from other sources, as appropriate including information from our vendors, suppliers etc.
Who sees your personal information?
We will not disclose your personal information without your consent unless it is allowed under applicable laws. We will aim to disclose only the specific information that is needed under the circumstances and, wherever possible, will inform you about the disclosure.
Access to personal information within Infosys Group will be restricted to those staff members who need the information in order to carry out their job duties. Those employees will maintain the information in the strictest of confidence and will not provide access to the information to anyone who is not authorized. The level of staff access to personal information will be granted on a need-to-know basis.
All individuals we hire under contract or other means to conduct business on our behalf will adhere to our internal policies and procedures. Violations of any part of the contractual agreement may result in termination of the contract.
Your personal information will be accessible to:
- Internal recipients within Infosys Ltd., its parent, subsidiaries, or affiliates such as Human Resources, Recruitment, Finance, Facilities, Immigration, Travel, Project Delivery Units, Infosys IT (IS, Computers and Communications Division/TIG), Hiring Mangers, Units/Org Leadership.
- Infosys authorized service providers or vendors who provide services to Infosys.
- Government Bodies including statutory, regulatory authorities, law-enforcement agencies (where applicable).
- Auditors (internal/external) as applicable.
- Infosys’ Clients (where applicable) based on contractual obligations.
- Any other parties expressly or impliedly authorized by you for receiving such disclosures.
How we protect your personal information
We will protect personal information from loss or theft, unauthorized access, use or disclosure, modification or destruction through appropriate administrative, technical and physical security measures and safeguards, as per our internal policies and procedures.
The level of safeguards used to protect personal information will depend on the:
- sensitivity of the personal information;
- amount, distribution, and format of the information;
- method of storage.
Legal basis of Processing
Wherever possible, we seek a person’s consent before we collect your personal information. The form of consent may vary depending on the circumstances and the type of information being requested. Consent can be express or implied and will adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
When determining the appropriate form of consent, we take into account the sensitivity of the personal information, the reasons we are collecting it, and the reasonable expectations of the person. When using personal information for a new purpose, we will document that new purpose and ask for consent again.
For example: Data collected for employment purposes processing, or from publicly available information is through implied consent.
We will not use your personal information without your consent unless it is either:
- for the same purpose for which the information was originally collected or compiled,
- consistent with that purpose,
- for a purpose that may be disclosed under applicable laws.
Retention and destruction of personal information

Access or corrections to personal information
As permitted under applicable laws, you have the right to access your Personal Information collected and processed under this Notice. If we agree that we are obliged to provide personal information to you, we will provide it to you free of charge. If the information we hold about you is incorrect, you may ask us to correct any inaccuracies in the personal information. In addition, where applicable under the law, you may also exercise other rights, such as right to refuse, delete, and not to subject to automated decision making. You also have the right to complain to Office of Privacy Commissioner.
We make every effort to ensure that information we use to make a decision that directly affects someone is as accurate, up-to-date, and complete as possible. This also applies to personal information disclosed to third parties.

Updates to this Privacy Notice
Infosys may change or update this Notice, and the same will be made available to You. But our commitment to protect the privacy of You will continue to remain.
Disclaimer: You acknowledge that any personal information that you share about other data subjects (including your dependents) is shared by you only after seeking consent from the person to whom the personal data belongs.
