Requirement:
● 5+ years of hands-on experience testing on mobile devices (Android/iOS) and/or Web, with at least 2 years in a team lead role
● Solid understanding of object-oriented concepts with any OO language.
● Experience defining an automation test strategy for an entire product/feature
● Experience working as an automation lead in a cross functional environment
● Solid understanding of GIT.
● Experience working with engineers to collaborate on test automation scenarios.
● Experience working in a CI environment (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).

  • Analyze system behavior and investigate issues using ADB and Linux-based tools to support debugging and root cause identification.

  • Execute manual testing across Android applications and smart devices, covering functional, regression, and system-level validation.

  • Perform Android certification testing (CTS, GTS, VTS, STS) to ensure platform compliance and release readiness.

  • Validate end-to-end user scenarios, including UI interactions, system behavior, and connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).


● Experienced in implementing test automation solutions and frameworks for complex front
end systems and meticulous about clean, readable, and performant code

SKILLS:
  • Android testing and mobile device validation

  • ADB and log analysis

  • Linux command line

  • Bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)

  • System-level troubleshooting
    experience in QA testing for Android, mobile devices, or consumer electronics.

  • Hands-on experience with ADB and familiarity with Linux-based environments.

  • Familiar with testing practices such as functional, regression, and system-level validation.

  • Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).


IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
● Define a strategy and lead the Team through complex projects
● Develop/Add new methods/libraries for the Tests
● Partner with developers to pave the way for automation of new platforms/features
● Be a strong voice for app quality and user experience
● Attend feature meetings such as Sprint Planning/Grooming, standups, desk checks,
UATs etc.
● Provide frequent reporting on product qualification status and system performance
metrics to functional teams and senior management
● Work with teams to make testing an integral part of the software development process
● Assist in driving adoption of best practices on the SDET team
● Assist in mentoring and coaching
● Work with teams to understand test automation gaps and implement coverage.
● Work with teams to make testing an integral part of the software development process.
● Coordinate testing efforts across teams to ensure delivery of high-quality features.
● Assist in driving adoption of best practices in testing and maintainability

BONUS POINTS IF YOU:
● Hands on experience in building automated testing frameworks from the ground up
Experience interacting with REST API and GraphQL for test data setup or testing.
● Experience with Cypress or Playwright automation framework.
● Experience with setting up automation jobs as part of CI/CD pipelines
● Experience with visual test tools such as Percy or Applitools
● Experience implementing a mocking framework
● Experience with release management
