Role Description:
Are you passionate about technology and enterprise systems? We’re looking for a Lead Consultant to join our team.
A Lead Consultant with Java, Springboot, JSP, Devops skills would be responsible for leading the application support activities of enterprise applications. This role demands strong expertise on Java platforms, prior experience in leading AMS projects, team leadership capabilities and effective communication with all stakeholders like clients and cross-functional teams. The candidate should be a quick learner and should not limit himself/herself in one platform and should learn other related technologies as per project needs.
Location: Auckland
Salary: AUD 185,167 – 205,170 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers for support and maintenance of various applications, ensuring the smooth operation and availability of systems.
  • Project manage all aspects of the end-to-end transition through all phases, including Planning, Process Design, Knowledge Acquisition, Activity Take-over/Ramp Up. Co-ordinate the Transition Team throughout the transition including the handover from Transition Team to the Steady State team
  • Responsible for overall planning and execution
  • Overall responsibility for timelines
  • Report status to the Program Management team and escalate relevant issues
  • Review progress and set the pace of teams handling transition on a weekly basis
  • Central co-ordination for deliverable review and approval process
  • Collate transition metrics across budget, risk, and progress
  • Interface with key stakeholders
  • End to end transition delivery
  • Participate in transition governance
  • Ensure transition aligns to contractual obligations
  • Meet to review project status and decide on implementation issues (resolution vs. escalation)
  • Attend project meetings, as required.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, managing expectations, and effectively communicating updates and progress on application support activities.
Essential:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Over 10 years of experience in Java, Springboot, JSP, Devops technologies. Prior experience in application maintenance and support projects.
  • Knowledge of APM tools like Dynatrace, Splunk APM, AppDynamics.
  • Knowledge of ALM tools like Jira, Azure DevOps.
  • Strong project management skills.

Preferred:
  • Prior working experience in the Australia/ New Zealand
  • Exposure to Insurance Domain.
