Role Summary
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a trusted advisor to business leaders in Romania, ensuring full compliance with Romanian Labor Law, supporting employee relations, and driving the consistent execution of HR programs and HR operations. The HRBP partner works closely with managers and employees on people matters and oversees critical HR operational processes such as payroll coordination, vacation and leave management, and internal tools administration.
As part of a multinational and cross‑cultural organization, the HRBP collaborates with regional and global HR teams, adapts local processes to international frameworks, and supports business units whose people and activities may span multiple countries. While Romanian legislation guides local compliance, the role frequently handles topics, stakeholders, and programs that extend beyond Romania.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Partnership- Advise business leaders on people strategy, workforce planning, organizational changes, and capability development.
- Provide HR analytics and reports (attrition, engagement, performance insights) to support informed decision-making.
Employee Relations & Compliance- Lead and resolve employee relations cases: intake, investigation, recommendations, and remediation.
- Ensure compliance with Romanian Labor Law and Infosys internal policies.
- Coach managers on disciplinary processes, performance issues, absence management, and workplace behavior.
- Partner with Legal, external authorities, and auditors when needed.
HR Programs Management- Plan and execute annual HR cycles: performance & career processes, compensation review, engagement plans, and policy updates.
- Monitor program KPIs and propose continuous improvements.
HR Operations- Payroll Management:
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs including new hires, exits, salary changes, allowances, leaves, disciplinary impacts, and other required updates.
- Validate payroll reports, ensure data accuracy, and collaborate with payroll vendor/finance for timely processing.
- Vacation & Leave Management:
- Manage and track annual leave, medical leave, parental leave, and other statutory/administrative absences in accordance with Romanian legislation.
- Advise managers and employees on leave entitlements and documentation requirements.
- Ensure correct reflection of leave data in HR systems and payroll.
- Internal Tools Administration:
- Maintain accurate employee data and lifecycle changes in HR systems.
- Troubleshoot system issues and support employees/managers with tool usage (self-service, workflows, reporting).
- Ensure data accuracy, GDPR compliance, and timely processing of HR transactions.

- Encourage inclusive practices and promote continuous improvement in employee experience.
Required Qualifications- 4–6+ years progressive HR experience, including HR operations.
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting skills.
- Experience working in a multinational or matrix environment, engaging with diverse cultures and global HR teams.
- Excellent communication skills in Romanian and English.
