Senior Manager-Procurement Operations and Technology Practice
Location: Chicago, IL

Job Description
Infosys Portland is expanding its Digital Procurement Practice and is seeking a select number of senior leaders to help clients modernize, optimize, and future‑proof their procurement organizations.
High-performing procurement functions are powered by the right combination of technology, intelligent processes, and operating models. Our Digital Procurement Practice partners with clients at every stage of their digital journey—from early strategies through optimization of existing solutions.
We act as trusted, technology-agnostic advisors. We are not systems integrators. Our role is to help clients define the right path, select the right technologies, and maximize value from implementations—regardless of who the implementation partner is.
This is a client-facing leadership role for individuals who bring deep subject matter expertise, strong consulting instincts, and the ability to guide complex digital transformation programs.

What We Do
We support clients across the full digital procurement lifecycle, including:

  • Digital procurement strategy
  • Technology selection
  • Implementation optimization
  • Optimization / Remediation
Job Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on procurement technology implementations, with hands-on experience across leading S2P platforms
  • Identify implementation risks, design pitfalls, and change challenges—bringing real-world lessons learned from prior programs
  • Support clients in optimizing and stabilizing existing procurement systems
  • Partner effectively with technical and data teams without needing to be a technologist or data arc
  • Understand how procurement data is captured, governed, and leveraged for insights
  • Translate business needs into practical technology and data solutions, while recognizing system limitations
  • Assess current-state procurement processes and operating models
  • Design future-state processes that are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives
  • Balance standardization with flexibility to support diverse stakeholder needs
  • Address non-technology enablers critical to success, including policy, governance, organization design, and people capabilities
  • Support change management efforts to drive adoption and sustainable outcomes
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders
  • Lead workstreams or full engagements, managing scope, quality, and client expectations
  • Coach and develop junior team members and client resources
  • Contribute to practice growth through thought leadership and knowledge sharing
  • Expand existing client relationships and identify follow-on opportunities
  • Participate in business development pursuits, proposal development, and client presentations
  • Build a strong market presence through insight-driven conversations
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience in the job description
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6–10 years of consulting experience in procurement and/or supply chain, including S2P system implementations
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading client engagements end-to-end
  • Prior experience expanding existing client relationships or supporting business development efforts
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities applied in client-facing environments
  • Proven ability to develop, coach, and mentor team members
  • Effective facilitator with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to executive audiences
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel in a consulting context
