Role Description: Are you passionate about leading transformative technology strategies? We’re looking for a Infrastructure Consultant – Backup to join our team
Location: Sydney, Australia
Salary: AUD 108,571 – 119,893 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead 24x7 backup and restore operations covering Networker, RMAN and related enterprise backup platforms.
• Own backup policy, schedule, retention, job failure analysis, restore testing and audit evidence management.
• Coordinate with Oracle, SQL, storage, server and application teams to ensure recoverability and SLA adherence.
• Manage incident, change, problem and service request activities for backup and recovery services.
• Drive daily backup health reporting, missed backup governance, capacity utilisation and remediation tracking.
• Support critical restore events, P1/P2 incidents, DR exercises and RCA/permanent corrective action processes.
• Lead discussions with business teams/SMEs to understand recovery requirements and implement optimal backup solutions.
• Ensure accurate configuration, asset and knowledge records in ServiceNow/CMDB.
• Prepare shift rosters for L1 team members and ensure smooth 24x7 backup monitoring coverage.
• Train L1/L2/L3 colleagues on backup operations, restore procedures and customer-specific runbooks
• Write solution/estimate inputs for RFPs and transition plans.
• Drive automation for backup failure triage, reporting, self-healing and evidence extraction.
Essential:
• Experience in running operations with ITIL processes / ITIL certification preferred.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with strong ownership during P1/P2 incidents.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to interact with customer, tower leads and offshore teams.
• Ability to identify service improvements, automation opportunities, incident reduction and knowledge reuse.
• Willingness and flexibility to learn new technologies, scale up quickly and adapt to transition needs.
Preferred:
