Position: Senior iSeries Developer
Contract: only contract of employment
Salaries: base+ financial bonus

We are looking for an experienced Senior iSeries Developer to work in an onsite role, supporting and enhancing enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in IBM i technologies and the ability to collaborate closely with business stakeholders, particularly in a fast-paced, domain-driven environment. Prior exposure to the Automotive sector is highly desirable.

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications on the IBM i (iSeries/AS400) platform.
• Hands-on development using RPGLE, CL, SYNON, and DB2.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate closely with onsite business users, functional teams, and key stakeholders.
• Participate in application modernization, performance tuning, and code optimization initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and documentation requirements.
• Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities.
• Act as a technical mentor for junior developers when required.

• Strong experience with IBM i (AS400 / iSeries) environment.
• Proficiency in:
  
  • RPGLE (free and fixed format)
  • CL/CLLE
  • SYNON
  • DB2/400
• Experience with batch and online application development.
• Solid understanding of system interfaces, file design, and program performance tuning.
• Knowledge of application support and incident management processes.

• Prior experience working in the Automotive sector, including manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or dealer management systems.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work onsite and coordinate directly with business stakeholders.
• Ability to understand business processes and provide solution-oriented recommendations.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a stakeholder-facing role.
