Based on your role, please note that this position may require on-site presence at Infosys premises and/or client locations. Work location and on-site expectations will depend on projsect scope, phase, and business needs at the time of allocation, with flexibility governed by business and client requirements

Role Summary
We are seeking an HCM Domain Consultant with strong hands-on experience in HR processes and policies, particularly within the Japanese HR landscape, who is keen to be trained and certified on Workday HCM.
The consultant will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and HR systems, supporting HR transformation initiatives and participating in Workday implementation and support after structured training.

Expected Qualification / Expertise / Skills / Certifications:
Core Skills:

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end HR business processes, including
    • Core HR / Personnel Administration
    • Compensation & Benefits
    • Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Talent Management & Performance
    • Time, Attendance & Absence
    • Payroll concepts (hands-on or coordination level)
  • Knowledge of Japanese HR policies, labor laws, and statutory requirements (Mandatory)
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into functional requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; ability to interact with HR, Business, and IT teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese (Mandatory)
  • Strong documentation skills for:
    • Business requirements
    • Process flows
    • Functional specifications
    • Test scenarios and user guides
  • Willingness and ability to learn Workday HCM and complete Workday certification post-hiring

Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in HR domain roles such as:
    • HR Business Partner
    • HR Systems Analyst
    • HR Process Consultant
    • HR Transformation / HRIS Consultant
  • Experience working on HR system implementations, rollouts, or upgrades (any HRMS such as SAP HCM, Oracle HCM, SuccessFactors, local payroll systems, etc.)
  • Experience in requirements gathering, UAT support, and post-go-live support
  • Exposure to HR data management, reporting, and integrations is an advantage
  • Prior experience working in shared services, managed services, or support models is a plus

Key Responsibilities:
Business & HR Process Consulting:
  • Engage with HR and business stakeholders to understand current-state HR processes and challenges
  • Conduct process workshops and document business requirements
  • Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Support HR process harmonization and standardization initiatives
System & Transformation Support (Pre- and Post-Workday Training):
  • Work closely with Workday consultants/implementation partners during:
    • Requirements validation
    • Functional design reviews
    • Testing (SIT/UAT)
    • Deployment and rollout
  • Provide testing support, including test case preparation, execution, and defect tracking
  • Support data validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution
  • Participate in post-production support, including:
    • Issue analysis and resolution
    • Process clarifications
    • User support and guidance
Learning & Capability Building
  • Actively participate in Workday training and certification programs
  • Quickly develop proficiency in Workday HCM modules such as:
    • Core HCM
    • Compensation
    • Recruiting
    • Benefits
    • Talent
    • Time & Absence
  • Continuously learn and apply new HR technologies and best practices
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience working in multinational or global HR environments
  • Exposure to HR analytics and reporting
  • Change management or HR transformation experience
  • Prior experience supporting HR audits or compliance activities
