We are seeking a skilled Grafana Dashboard Specialist to lead the creation of robust dashboards for comprehensive end-to-end monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production support monitoring, with a keen understanding of the metrics that matter to both technology teams and management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Calgary, Alberta or be willing to relocate one of these areas.

• Design and develop Grafana dashboards to provide clear, actionable insights for end-to-end monitoring.
• Leverage log aggregation and analysis to build insights from logs, presenting them as meaningful metrics on Grafana dashboards.
• Collaborate with technology and management teams to identify key metrics and ensure they are effectively represented on the dashboards.
• Integrate data from various sources, including AppDynamics, microservices, Spark, Jira, and ServiceNow, into Grafana for real-time monitoring and alerting.
• Develop custom Unix/Python scripts to automate the retrieval of logs and other data, feeding this information into Grafana.
• Create and manage alerts in Jira and ServiceNow for enhanced tracking and reporting of key metrics.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Support the production, non-prod environment, troubleshooting and optimizing dashboards for performance and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with both technical teams and management.
