Your role

  • We are looking for a highly skilled Software Developer with strong expertise in ServiceNow platform development, JavaScript, and Linux-based environments (RHEL 9.x), along with experience in MariaDB 10.11.
  • This role focuses on developing, customizing, and maintaining enterprise ITSM and workflow solutions, ensuring seamless integrations and high system performance.
  • The ideal candidate will have deep experience in ServiceNow scripting, module development, and integrations, combined with strong backend and database capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications on the ServiceNow platform
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow modules (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Service Catalog)
  • Develop client-side and server-side scripts using JavaScript
  • Build and maintain ServiceNow workflows, business rules, script includes, UI policies, and UI actions
  • Develop and manage integrations using REST/SOAP APIs
  • Administer and support deployments on RHEL 9.x environments
  • Manage and optimize database operations in MariaDB 10.11
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Implement performance tuning and system optimization strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, infrastructure, and business stakeholders
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and enterprise security standards

Required
Core Technologies
  • ServiceNow Development (ITSM modules, CMDB, Service Catalog)
  • JavaScript (ES5/ES6, ServiceNow scripting framework)
  • RHEL 9.x (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) administration and troubleshooting
  • MariaDB 10.11 (SQL queries, indexing, performance tuning)
ServiceNow expertise:
  • Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes
  • Flow Designer / Workflow Editor
  • IntegrationHub (preferred)
  • CMDB and Discovery (nice to have)
  • Service Portal / UI Builder

Integration & Tools
  • REST / SOAP Web Services
  • API development and middleware integration
  • Version control (Git)
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • ITIL framework understanding

Nice to Have
  • ServiceNow Certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS)
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Scripting in Shell / Python
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
  • 4–8 years of experience in ServiceNow and software development
  • Relevant ServiceNow certifications preferred
