Role Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud and DevOps Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise across multi-cloud platforms, automation, and modern infrastructure practices. The role requires deep operational knowledge of cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure, including services such as Azure Active Directory, role-based access control, Kubernetes (AKS), Key Vaults, load balancing, storage, networking, and security. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE), and exposure to AWS environments is also highly valued to support multi-cloud and hybrid strategies.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with hands-on experience in Terraform and ARM templates to enable automated provisioning, scalability, and maintainability of cloud and infrastructure environments. They will also be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Bamboo, enabling efficient and reliable software and infrastructure delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities:
A key requirement of the role is hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes (particularly AKS), ensuring scalable, resilient, and portable application deployments. In addition, the candidate should have solid expertise in configuration management tools such as Ansible and Red Hat Satellite to support automated configuration, patching, and deployment activities across diverse environments.
The role demands advanced skills in version control systems, particularly Git, with strong understanding of branching strategies, code reviews, and collaborative workflows. Strong scripting and automation capability is essential, with demonstrated experience in PowerShell, Bash, and Python to automate operational tasks, integrate systems, and improve efficiency across infrastructure and application lifecycles.
The engineer will be responsible for implementing and managing monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Splunk, Nagios, and cloud-native monitoring platforms, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of performance or reliability issues. A strong understanding of security and compliance is also required, including knowledge of cloud and network security best practices, vulnerability management, policy-as-code principles, and compliance frameworks such as APRA and CIS benchmarks.
A solid foundation in networking principles is critical, including experience with VPNs, ExpressRoute, virtual networks and subnetting, DNS, security constructs such as NSGs, UDRs, ASGs, firewalls, and load balancing technologies including AVI, Azure Application Gateway, and Traffic Manager. The role also requires experience administering operating systems such as Microsoft Windows Server (2019 and above), Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and other Linux distributions, along with hands-on exposure to virtualization technologies including VMware, Citrix, and virtual desktop infrastructure platforms such as Horizon and Azure Virtual Desktop.
The candidate should be familiar with cloud-native and serverless architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and modern compute and storage models, enabling the design of scalable and efficient solutions. A strong understanding of DevOps practices is essential, including Agile methodologies, GitOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to drive continuous improvement, reliability, and operational excellence.
In addition, the role requires experience in incident and problem management, including structured incident response, root cause analysis, and proactive remediation to ensure system stability and performance. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant industry certifications across Azure, GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, or related domains, demonstrating commitment to continuous learning and expertise in cloud and DevOps technologies. Success in this role will be driven by the ability to design and operate scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure solutions while enabling high-performing development and operations environments.
