Senior Principal – Healthcare AI

Infosys Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principal with a strong focus on AI enabled Healthcare transformation across payers and provider health systems. This leadership role requires a professional with a proven track record in healthcare business consulting, with AI and Automation, to join our expanding healthcare practice.
About the Role:
We’re launching the next wave of AI in Healthcare and growing our team with leaders and individuals who bring insights and best practices to help organizations in their AI enabled business transformations. Our Healthcare Consulting team helps healthcare clients apply cutting edge technology and techniques to bring solutions to the payer and provider market sectors. You will lead advising our consulting practice on innovative and digital ways of working, and you will bring that same approach to the way in which we advise our healthcare clients.
Responsibilities:

  • Senior Principal is a member of the Healthcare consulting practice leadership team and helps drive the strategy, offerings, revenue growth, people development, and overall success of the practice.
  • Senior Principal supports sales and business development, via developing healthcare points of view, client presentations and proposals, presenting to clients; and carries a sales bookings target as part of their performance management goals.
  • Senior Principal drives consulting projects delivery, owning the planning, execution and deliverables completion for their client engagements; and carries a managed revenues and utilization target as part of their performance management goals.
  • Bring healthcare domain knowledge and experiences, in one or more of the following functional areas in the healthcare value chain, examples include and not limited to: end to end claims process, population health, care management, utilization management and prior authorization, appeals and grievances, provider network, HEDIS / Quality / Stars improvement, enrollment and billing functions.
  • Bring healthcare sector knowledge in either payers and/or providers (health systems), as we are looking for experienced business transformation consultants across both sectors.
  • Work with clients to drive an AI-first approach to business transformation programs enabled by multiple forms of AI, automation, document understanding, optical character recognition (OCR), chatbots, process mining and machine learning.
  • Work with our clients to understand where and how AI and ML solutions can be applied, and what business problems it can solve. Perform discovery, analyze requirements, processes, and impediments to automation.
  • Work with clients to develop and optimize AI services and solutions including Centers of Excellence (CoEs), process assessments, business case development, vendor identification and selection.
  • Experiences with Generative AI and Agentic AI concepts, foundational skills, POCs and solution implementation.
  • Lead definition of to-be state including creation and maintenance of PDD and SDD throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create technology solution design at platform and architectural levels as well as information roadmaps and case definitions.
  • Help our client’s Information Technology organization set up automation environments (installation, monitors and controls.) and define the infrastructure requirements to implement AI solutions.
  • Lead proposal development and pursuits for multimillion dollar programs. Manage pipelines from opportunity identification to contract.
  • Help reimagine end to end business processes with an AI-First approach, identify the use cases, provide level of effort estimations and assumptions for the implementation of AI solutions.
  • Lead project teams. mentor, coach and develop consultants.
  • Contribute to practice development: Identify AI trends in healthcare, define relevant consulting service offerings and solutions. Author Point of View documents case studies and thought-leadership whitepapers.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least nine years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a customer-facing role in a large consulting firm and/or combined with industry experience driving business transformations in a payer or provider / health system.
  • At least nine years of experience leading teams of advisory services consultants in the delivery of AI, automation, and/or ML solutions and services and the technology lifecycle, including operating model/strategy, opportunity assessment, discovery and requirements definition, solution architecture and design, development, testing and production release.
  • At least seven years of healthcare domain experiences, in one or more of the following functional areas in the healthcare value chain, examples include and not limited to: end to end claims process, population health, care management, utilization management and prior authorization, appeals and grievances, provider network, HEDIS / Quality / Stars improvement, enrollment and billing functions.
  • At least five years of experience in implementing AI and automation projects including robotics, low code, OCR, chatbots or virtual assistants, natural language processing, machine learning.
  • At least five years of experience with AI and automation platforms, for example: Microsoft, OpenAI, AWS, UiPath or Automation Anywhere or Blue Prism or Microsoft
  • At least four years of experience in AI and automation implementation using Agile methodologies or RPA methodologies.
  • At least two years of experience working on Process and Task Mining capabilities (specifically UiPath Process Mining)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and collaboration skills.
  • Strong ability to solve problems, troubleshoot, analyze processes, map processes, and communicate effectively with senior business and IT stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading or supervising a team of professionals.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 80%, (weekly travel) depending on client requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing AI Agents using Citizens Development and LCNC solutions like Copilot Studio is preferrable
  • Proficient in Prompt engineering for Data Analysis, Complex Strategy development and reimagining Digital twins of Business Personas across healthcare value chain
  • Experience in setting up AI Governance Model, AI CoE and Responsible AI to help payers or providers establish, scale and evolve AI across their enterprise
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum methodologies
  • Certified in Agile, Scrum delivery methodologies
  • Contributed to thought leadership or publishing articles or whitepapers on AI trends and/or client success stories.
The total compensation (Base + Bonus) for this role is between $241,000 to $300,000.
