Role - Senior Technology Architect -Open‑Source Tools, Automation & AI Location – Germany, UK and Netherlands (Any location) Unit – CIS (Cloud and Infrastructure)
Job Description Role Overview The Senior Architect – Open‑Source Tools, Automation & AI is responsible for designing and governing the enterprise-wide architecture for open-source platforms, automation frameworks, MLOps/AIOps capabilities, and developer‑centric platform engineering. This role drives the adoption of open-source software (OSS), automation‑first delivery, GitOps/IaC, AI/ML operational platforms, and Zero Trust security models—ensuring the enterprise builds scalable, secure, cost‑efficient, and future‑ready digital platforms. The role partners with Engineering, Security, Data/AI, Cloud, and Operations teams to define platform roadmaps, standards, and reusable blueprints that enable consistent, automated, and AI‑enhanced infrastructure delivery.
Extensive experience on Python
Experience in Flask, experience in other Python framework for developing API or Python application is advantageous
Experience ins frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch
Extensive experience in Python ML packages
Understanding of data structures, data modelling and data pipeline design in PySpark, Apache Airflow preferable
Experience in vector databases like Milvus, pgvector etc.
Deploying and using LLM
NOSQL DB – Cassandra, MongoDB etc.
Experience in integrating with Java based applications as well as front end application s
Object oriented and functional programming
Data visualization
Cloud and K8s
Git, CICD pipeline
Excellent communication and articulation skills Key Responsibilities Architecture Leadership – OSS & Automation
Define the target state architecture for enterprise OSS tools across CI/CD, IaC, GitOps, observability, secrets management, and security automation.
Govern the selection, lifecycle, and integration of OSS tools such as:
GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD/Flux
Terraform/Pulumi, Ansible
Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS/OpenShift)
Helm/Operators
Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/OpenSearch
HashiCorp Vault, Keycloak, Backstage
Establish golden paths, reusable blueprints, and platform engineering patterns for consistent delivery.
Automation‑First & Policy‑as‑Code Frameworks
Architect enterprise Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and GitOps operating models.
Implement policy‑as‑code guardrails using OPA/Gatekeeper, Sentinel, or Conftest to enforce:
Security baselines
Compliance
Tagging/metadata
Cost controls
Build automation pipelines for configuration drift detection, compliance scanning, environment promotion, and end‑to‑end change validation.
Observability, SRE & Reliability Architecture
Architect enterprise observability platforms using OSS:
Prometheus/Grafana
OpenTelemetry (metrics, traces, logs)
Loki/Tempo/Jaeger
Define SLOs/SLIs/Error Budgets for platform services.
Integrate chaos engineering, synthetic testing, and automated recovery workflows.
Enable full-stack visibility across hybrid cloud environments.
Stakeholder Leadership
Work with CxO stakeholders, product owners, platform teams, and security leaders to shape the OSS/automation/AI roadmap.
Translate technical designs into executive-ready narratives and clear decision frameworks.
Mentor engineering teams and elevate platform engineering maturity across the organization.
Deep experience designing platform automation and GitOps workflows.
AI/ML & Data Platforms
Ability to architect MLOps and AIOps pipelines using Kubeflow, MLflow, Ray, KServe, etc.
Understanding of GPU scheduling and AI workload performance.
Security & Governance
Strong grounding in Zero Trust, supply chain security, SBOMs, IAM, workload identity, policy‑as‑code.
Architecture Leadership
Strong experience creating enterprise blueprints, target architecture, and roadmap documentation.
Ability to influence at C‑suite and engineering levels.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision leadership.
Ability to lead architecture in complex, global environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: CKA/CKAD/CKS, HashiCorp Terraform, major cloud architect certifications (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Experience with large‑scale hybrid cloud platform engineering.
Exposure to regulated industries (BFSI, telco, public sector).
10+ years of experience
