Role: Senior Technology Architect

Location: Sydney

Salary: AUD 142,760 – 160,266 (Annual Gross)

Please Note: The above salary range is only indicative and maybe subject to suitable enhancements, based on internal company processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship
    Guide, coach, and develop engineering teams to achieve technical excellence and career growth.

  • Project Delivery & Governance
    Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope, budget, and quality standards.

  • Strategic Planning
    Define engineering roadmap, align with business goals, and manage resource allocation.

  • Process Optimization
    Implement best practices in Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD to improve efficiency and quality.

  • Stakeholder Management
    Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

  • Risk & Compliance Management
    Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and regulatory standards.

  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
    Drive adoption of new technologies and practices to enhance productivity and scalability.


Essential:
  • 10-15 years of industry experience, with 2+ years in engineering leadership roles

  • 5+ years of experience in web application or full-stack development

  • Strong foundational knowledge of software architecture, engineering best practices, and modern development tools/processes

  • Ability to do hands-on coding is critical for this role (This is required to be used selectively for mentoring, prototyping, or solving complex technical problems)

  • Experience defining and implementing reference architecture and systems of engagement

  • Technical decision-making authority, especially in architectural review boards (ARB)

  • Exposure to open-source ecosystems and/or diverse technology stacks

Preferred:

Work Experience

  • Prior working experience in telecommunications industry.

  • Knowledge in web tools, integration capabilities

Technical/Professional Skills

  1. Understanding of DevOps practices, tools and cloud technologies

  1. Great awareness of information security and data privacy requirements.

  1. Hands-on, working knowledge of various web and or integration languages, tools and approaches

  1. Experience with a range of vendors, tools and languages, AEM, SFCC, React, MuleSoft etc.

  1. Prior experience of public speaking e.g. Tech Conference
