Description
We are seeking a Lead Technical Program Manager to drive delivery of complex, high-impact programs that advance eCommerce products and platform strategy.
As a Lead TPM, you will operate as a single-threaded owner for large initiatives, managing multiple projects and programs end to end. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and senior leadership to translate strategy into execution, balance business priorities with technical constraints, and deliver outcomes with quality, predictability, and scale.
This role is designed for expert TPMs who thrive in ambiguity, think at system scale, and consistently deliver results with strong judgment, technical depth, and execution discipline.
Qualifications Required
8+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, system architecture, or technical product/program management.
Proven experience delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade technical programs from concept through launch.
Strong understanding of software development fundamentals, including distributed systems, APIs, data stores, and cloud services.
Experience managing cross-team dependencies and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
Ability to read and reason about code and architecture (hands-on coding not required).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
Experience with platform services, infrastructure, or large-scale distributed systems.
Domain experience in eCommerce, payments, fintech, or regulated environments.
Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD, microservices, NoSQL databases, and cloud-native architectures.
Experience driving operational excellence, including metrics, monitoring, and post-launch optimization.
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and operate with strong ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Program Ownership & Delivery
Serve as the primary point of accountability for program outcomes, timelines, and quality.
Execution Excellence & Risk Management
Identify and remove blockers, resolve cross-team dependencies, and consistently find paths forward in complex situations.
Anticipate risks early, lead mitigation strategies, and manage escalations effectively.
Create predictable delivery paths for large and complex initiatives by reducing ambiguity and improving planning rigor.
Establish operating rhythms, execution mechanisms, and reporting structures that scale beyond individual programs.
Technical Leadership
Partner deeply with senior engineers and architects to influence system design, technical trade-offs, and long-term scalability.
Dive deep into architecture, APIs, data flows, and system dependencies to inform decisions and surface hidden risks.
Evaluate designs for scalability, performance, reliability, security, and operational readiness.
Help teams make informed trade-off decisions by balancing business goals, customer experience, and platform strategy.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
Clearly articulate scope, timelines, dependencies, owners, risks, and mitigations.
Communicate program status, trade-offs, and decisions crisply to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Act as the source of truth for program status, ensuring the right information reaches the right audience at the right time.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise narratives for executive and non-technical audiences.
Continuous Improvement & Leadership
Regularly review metrics and improve data-driven visibility into program health and outcomes.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve execution effectiveness.
Mentor and raise the bar for other TPMs by sharing best practices and modeling strong ownership and execution discipline.
Stay current with evolving technologies and apply insights to improve delivery and design outcomes.
