SHORT DESCRIPTION:

Infosys is looking for Java Developer to join our team in Taiwan. This role will help build the backend technology stack for our recommendation and personalization system. Responsibilities include writing fault tolerant, low latency serving API’s, building async workflows that process millions of real-time user events and content, and collaborating with science teams to engineer applied machine learning solutions for content recommendation.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for design, implementation/development and unit testing of various modules with minimal supervision
• Participate in troubleshooting various problems in the system
• Participate in design discussions and reviews
• Participate in the full life cycle of a large project: design, implementation, testing, releasing and sustaining

• Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical fields
• Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience of Java language
• Good knowledge of OOP and software design patterns and where and when to use them
• Solid experience with a web server like jetty or undertow
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS such as S3, SQS
• Experience with technologies such as Redis and Storm
• Strong skills in testing your own code using unit or functional tests
• Experience on development on Linux based systems is a plus
• Knowledge of one of scripting languages, e.g. shell script, Python, PHP is a plus
• Experience on developing with RDBMs, e.g., MySQL is a plus
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development process is a plus
