Currently, we are seeking an Application Production Support Engineer for Level 3 support to join IPS.

The Application Production Support Engineer will support the project with:

  • Release activities, code migration, production incident management, building break fixes, and supporting the UAT team with their testing efforts.
  • Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and database teams to perform code configuration changes and deploy code in various environments.
  • The Chosen candidate contributes to AWS environment application configuration, program languages, databases, and operating systems.
  • Monitor production and report incidents per the service level agreement.
  • Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, recommend changes, and collaborate with others to develop and test the break-fix.
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks and identify opportunities to automate wherever possible.

Basic requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in application production support/Must be Level 3 support, maintenance, and analysis.
  • At least 2 years of experience in software development life cycle & should have the ability to read & understand application logs.
  • 2+ years of development experience with either Python or Javascript.
  • Knowledge of work management software such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint

Desired Skills:
  • 2+ years of experience with core AWS services (Lambda, Glue, Event bridge, SNS, etc.)

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education, Candidates that have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.

The job may entail an extensive amount of travel. The position also entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face.
