Ice Cream Cabinet (ICC) Sourcing and Procurement
Senior Process Lead
: San Jose, Costa Rica

In the role of Senior Process Lead in a Procurement service line, you will be required to follow all predefined procedures including buying goods and services on behalf of client’s procurement organization, choosing suppliers, and negotiating prices to ensure that the right amount of the product or service is received when it is needed. Research procurement records of historical purchases, find foreign and domestic suppliers, and stay up to date on any changes in either the supply or demand for needed products and materials.
It is important that you have experience with at least some phases of leading sourcing projects involving – Request for Proposals / Request for Quotations /tendering / esourcing / vendor selection / negotiations / contracting / etc.


  • Responsible for partnering with multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support and collaborate in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies related to the maintenance, repairs, and operations (MRO) for the category assigned (Freezers and cabinets for Ice Cream market).
  • Develop a category strategy for both categories in alignment with the Global Supply Chain Services Strategy and stakeholder requirements, which includes MRO best practices for the category assigned (Freezers and cabinets for Ice Cream market).
  • Support and execute end-to-end strategic sourcing activities in accordance with the Procurement policy and provide excellence throughout the process analyzing information, identifying requirements and opportunity, negotiating terms and conditions, and contracting products and/or services
  • Define and implement multiple end-to-end sourcing and contract strategies to support corporate objectives and site level commitments in compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Contract management experience
  • Act as a trusted business advisor and support stakeholders, aligning procurement projects with the business pipeline
  • Providing Exceptional Customer Services while delivery of both brand and quantitative value to the bottom line through cost savings and cost avoidance
  • Adherence to Procurement policy and processes, including collaboration with Legal (GCO), Risk Management and other support functions
  • Provide support to enable structured management and accurate progress reporting on all projects
  • Drive an inclusive and sustainable sourcing mindset to build a better working world
  • Support the build and management of a pipeline of Procurement projects in support of category strategy/plan & in collaboration with Procurement leaders and stakeholders
  • Manage and support Request for Proposals (RFPs) including commercial contractual negotiations, while partnering with stakeholders and shared functions such as GCO, Risk Management and Vendor Assurance
  • Develop relationships with key business stakeholders and report procurement progress via regular meetings
  • Minimize contractual risks to by identifying and working with relevant Procurement, other leads, and GCO
  • Execute market intelligence research and data analytics to build a strong competitive tension amongst suppliers and translate findings into relevant and purposeful management information.
  • Provide accurate reporting on deals and timely submission of savings forms as required
  • Manage supplier relationships according to Procurement and Independence policies

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 6 years of related experience in the strategic sourcing and procurement domain.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and deliverables establishing clear goals and responsibilities in cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience in category management, negotiation plans, strategic sourcing and contract management.
  • Strong data analysis capability, specifically in category spending analysis.
  • Be familiar with e-sourcing systems i.e., Ariba RFP process, has a good sense for tender document composition
  • Excellent Project management skills. Will take a supporting and/or leading role in regional sourcing projects working with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and facilitation skills.
  • Experience in managing the MRO categories mainly freezers, ice cream cabinets or similar equipment (freezers)
  • Negotiation and alignment of basic supplier terms and pricing with best practice and market conditions
  • Global mind set, able to work collaboratively as part of a team at regional and global level.
  • A strong team player, comfortable working collaboratively, virtually/hybrid and independently
  • Excellent communication and networking skills – able to effectively manage and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a high pace, agile environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities effectively
  • High levels of EQ and cultural awareness to build relationships
  • Experience with Source-to-Pay (“S2P”) processes, including managing sourcing projects on SAP system, and execution of online RFx and e-Auctions
  • English Advanced language is required, and Portuguese language is desired
